George has received a number of awards over the years including the Building Science ForumAward for the development and implementation of MRTFC – the use of lightweight timber frames for Class 1, 2 and 3 buildings up to 5 levels.
Managing Director
An honours graduate in Mechanical Engineering (ATI) and Civil-Environmental Engineering (VU) whose academic excellence is complimented by significant commercial experience. Successfully developed and managed the Multi Residential Timber Framed Construction (MRTFC) project that according to the BIS Shrapnel Building Industry Report is worth in excess of $571M for the timber and associated industries. George Ioannou is a Registered Building Practitioner – qualified Builder (DB-U) and a property developer with a number of small to medium size residential, industrial and light commercial projects being undertaken over the past seventeen years. George has held over the years a number of executive honorary positions in the Industry such as “Executive Secretary of CSIRO R&D Committee”, “member of the HIA Technical Management Committee”. He is a member of a number of Industry Associations such as the Housing Industry Association (HIA), Australian Institute of Management (AIM), APESMA, Institution of Engineers Australia (I.E Aust.) etc.
